My guess is he hasn’t even completed 9 classes. This guy may be the first in history that plays with his son in college
Might be endless money from Duke's hedge fund.Caleb Foster back for Duke which puts them at 4 PGs if we’re to believe Blackwell’s reason for committing.
Rippey’s dad seems all in on Duke but I’m confused as to why the top PG recruit would willingly bench himself in a historically bad draft. Something seems off.
MSU got their 5. Top 8 kinda team.
Wait! Maybe he was with NC!My guess is he hasn’t even completed 9 classes.
Absolutely.. can only think he will take a mid major head coaching positionA neighbor (PC alum) couldn't understand why English didn't play him more.
Interesting that English turned down a job at uNC.
Glad SJU isn’t getting them but that doesn’t change the fact that we won’t eitherSo is Rick unintentionally saying out loud that he can’t afford Diop or Thaim? Hope so
Yeah your probably right but I am still holding out hope for Diop with big bro Bobby connected…Diop would be a great 5/ stretch 4 so he and Hines could each play 25… I’ll keep dreamin lolGlad SJU isn’t getting them but that doesn’t change the fact that we won’t either
Spot on assessment of Duke, look at the year before with 3 top ten picks including Coop and Kon starting and no ring… some of it is also Sheyer in game decisions …..Yeah the days of stacking 9 McDonald’s All Americans on your bench like Dook and formerly UK are gone. You see pretty quickly this results in guys like Khamenia leaving. I mean that kid was a top 15 recruit but played the same position as Cam Boozer. What did they recruit him for exactly? Lots of freshmen still signing with Dook as Scheyer isn’t smart enough to realize you can’t build a team that starts 3 freshman that is going to win against teams built in the portal consisting of 5th year grown men. Hurley has done a great job at only recruiting 2-3 guys per year and filling in from the portal.
Not in the portal this year but this kid is going to be a curiosity for many people over the next few years. There’s video in the websphere of Galbut dominating AAU tournaments last summer. I think a lot of D1 schools didn’t bother because they assumed he would just play at Yeshiva. Legit player.
Do not know the answer to this question but could be part of his decision making process re: even considering UConn-Did Diop even enjoy his Hurley experience with Bobby? Dan is no less intense than Bobby. Strikes me as the kind of player that wants to be the guy-Not sharing PT with another guy. I think Dan is pretty comfortable with his Hines decision. Is Diop a player? Absolutely. My two centsYeah your probably right but I am still holding out hope for Diop with big bro Bobby connected…Diop would be a great 5/ stretch 4 so he and Hines could each play 25… I’ll keep dreamin lol
He has budgeted money for one of them, his statement was regarding seniors who may be eligible to come back if a fifth year is granted. I think Respole would pony up if Zuby wanted to come back another year.So is Rick unintentionally saying out loud that he can’t afford Diop or Thaim? Hope so
I would be pretty shocked if Pitino doesn't get Diop this weekend.Glad SJU isn’t getting them but that doesn’t change the fact that we won’t either
Same goes for Tounde Y. Apparently We’re going after a backup CG PF and C, not a starting C or starting SF.
I think slick rick is sweating bullets as all those competitive signings would be all for nothing if in fact those seniors that do not end up in NBA draft hierarchy end up available and those programs with money left in NIL end up more competitive aka threat.Uh, Mike, can you help out here?
First thing that came to mind for me. The last time this happened was in the late 90s with Tamir Goodman and his Maryland offer and then when he committed at Towson. It didn’t go well.I’m fascinated by how this will work. Presumably he both won’t play and won’t travel on the sabbath. Not an issue at Yeshiva since they schedule around that but obviously will impact him at Duquesne.
With the players returning he probably sees a chance of going higher, a CBB player with the goal of actually playing in the NBA has become rare lol
Slick Rick knows there's always money under the banana stand. He'd be just fine.
