After witnessing what Hurley did with Samson, starting over Tarris to the detriment of the season, you are probably right. There’s no shot solo is coming off the bench

Looks good to me, think if we are looking at Machot level of Center I’d rather grab Bonke from same league who was previously at ProvidenceLandrew and Khamenia as interchangeable forwards makes the most sense to me. On defense they would pick up whoever the best matchup is for them.
Demary 6’4
Mullins 6’6
Landrew 6’6
Khamenia 6’8
Hines 6’10
Bench:
Solo 6’3
Ross 6’7
Machot 7’0 ??
County 6’4 / Transfer PG
9-man rotation.
High hopes that Landrew quickly becomes a must play freshman like Castle, McNeeley, and Mullins before him.
Such is the burden of loving UConn so much. His one consistent point is that our players stink. He makes that one over and over again
Oh wow, bold stuff—picking the top seeds and calling it “insight.” Really going out on a limb there. You mean the top 3 seeds in the country? Was never about winning or losing as much it was observing their rosters. UM was about the fact they had a front court bigger than most NBA FCs. Zona had a similar FC, with a high upside 2G and Senior PG, Duke about having 4 plus defenders plus mismatch Boozer. I don't evaluate teams through a scoreboard, But whatever you think.
Why if your admitting Balls defense is suspect which is true, he should be used off the bench for instant offense particularly if he gets the shooting touch back…sports is the only real Meritocracy left in our society the best player for each position should startSolo starts but his minutes are closer to 20 than 30, and there are plenty of games his defense (if not improved) keeps him out of closing lineups.
Someone with that type of size. Another potential option just entered the portal.Looks good to me, think if we are looking at Machot level of Center I’d rather grab Bonke from same league who was previously at Providence

Poor Kensucky can’t even get our scrap. Pope better get them a title next year or he is going to be canned.just saw UK saying Freeman is going to St Johns per Trilly
Has Jocob Ross declared he was back? I might of missed the annoucement. So with the Solo injury news, we’re rolling out:
PG - Silas/County
SG - Braylon/young Ross
SF - Ross/Landrew
PF - Khamenia
C - Hines
Work to do! I’d like an upperclassman PG, a backup SG that can score if needed, and a quality backup PF and C
Who are we currently in the mix for?
Probably more like a Combo guard, Combo PF/C and Big Center who isn't highly rated even at a lower level that will just bascially gives 5 fouls if needed. He won't play much. Though I have no idea how much NIL we have left but after Hurley was complaing about it recently I'm sure it is not enough to get what you want at decent level for all 4 of those positions. So with the Solo injury news, we’re rolling out:

I love how you can talk down to/insult whomever, and that's apparently cool, but when people point out you're a disaster they're the "mean girls".
Ruff-Ruff- did you actually ever say Purdue was the best team in the country last year? That’s concerning if true. You said Purdue was the best, then Michigan was the best and one of the best teams ever who could go undefeated, then Arizona was the best, then Duke. You moved off of Michigan as soon as they lost their first game and then Duke was your new goliath after they beat Michigan. Florida was some sort of unstoppable force as well.
I’m in. He’s crazy athletic and talented, just hasn’t put it together.Any thoughts on Aaron Bradshaw - Memphis, as a backup center? Originally from New Jersey.
I wonder if this is an option for big guy?
FWIW Jacob Ross consistently warmed up with the bigs last year, not the guards. I am guessing Hurley views him as some kind of a combo forward. Not sure what kind of minutes he gets, either way.So with the Solo injury news, we’re rolling out:
PG - Silas/County
SG - Braylon/young Ross

I just don’t want anyone who’s had that Memphis/Penny stench on them, especially a bag chaser who went from UK to MemphisHe'd be a GREAT addition
A place where careers die. It'll be interesting to see where Anderson goes. My guess is Kansas.
Totally agree. In just a few years, the CBB system has evolved into the same system as international football (soccer). A player needs to find the highest level where he can play regularly. Excel there and move up. The fans haven't caught on yet.I think transferring up is the right strategy, and I am surprised it is even controversial. You need to play to get better, and waiting on the end of the bench until your junior year is a strategy to not getting invited back junior year.
Well except that the team that develops the player doesn’t get anything out of it.Totally agree. HS rankings are suppose to ultimately show NBA potential.Well except that the team that develops the player doesn’t get anything out of it.
What’s been fascinating is the way it shows all the recruiting misses. Wilkins at Furman. Kansas is excited about a new PG, Leroy Blyden from Toledo. He was a 3 star. So the portal is allowing these under recruited players to move up quickly. Shows how bad HS rankings are.
Actually, they are for more accurate than they are not. There are exceptions, but for the most part, they afford a lot of directional understanding of kids. 247 has evaluators on the ground at just about everything. If you look at who is going in this years mocks, it pretty much aligns with the exception of kids like Wagler.Well except that the team that develops the player doesn’t get anything out of it.

I don’t think the 190 is accurate. At 190lbs the Machot kid would be the lightest kid on the Roster.
Don't think it deserves it's own thread but this could have some reprecussions with the portal, Golden played at St Mary's and then coached at San Francisco so he's familiar with the Bay area. He could be an option if GSW doesn't retain Kerr.
You'll get a Millender, a Joey C, a mid major Phil Nolan, and a better Enosch Wolf and you'll like it.So with the Solo injury news, we’re rolling out:
