Entering the portal - 2026

A lot went wrong those years. Still hard to believe how bad it got that last year. Players who shouldn’t have been within 10 miles of a UConn uniform barely putting up a fight some nights
Everything that could go wrong went wrong, on the court, behind the scenes, etc. Gilbert couldn't stay on the floor. Larrier wasn't the same player after the ACL injury.

I'm not in favor of this at all even though he's one of my all-time favorites.

BUT how would the NCAA stop this from happening?

If anything, it would encourage a floodgate of players leaving college since they would know they can always come back.
They don't lead so just about anything could happen while Charlie embarrasses himself waiting for Congress to act in his behalf.

How much do you think Adama is making in Italy?
The stories I found didn't get into money. Just that he was cut by the Bulls after an injury, went to a team in Israel for a couple months and then to Sicily where he plays less than 20 minutes and doesn't seem to get many shots.
He was such a hard worker and so focused on getting better while here, was MOP at the Final Four, tore up the G League and was not given a shot in the NBA.
Hard to imagine how discouraged he must be.
He is the epitome of the type player that should have been given a shot by some team.
