Entering the portal - 2026

so one of the troll accounts was actually right about Lewis going to Miami a few days ago, are they trying to turn legit?
The troll/fake insider accounts often just parrot Trilly and the subscription sites, and he put Lewis in for Miami a few days ago.

Hard to know. My sense:

Willard can be caustic, not all players like
Nova was a quick backup plan to UK not working out
Miami has a better roster as of now than Nova does
Miami is nicer than Philly
Miami = $$
Miami doesn't currently have a better roster than Nova.

.-.
Shelton Henderson
Acadien Lewis
Georgia Center Somto Cyril

Are the start of a nice 5.

Who is playing the 1 or the 5 for Nova?
Acaden Lewis obviously can't be factored in because you said one of the reasons he chose Miami is because they have a better roster as of now.

Nova is returning their best player Tyler Perkins and another starter in Matthew Hodge. Duke Brennan is trying to get another year of eligibility. Bench players Malachi Palmer and Christian Jeffrey. Portal pickups Kwame Evans Jr. and Devin Royal.

Nova is going after guards now. Only names I've heard are Kayden Mingo and DJ Wagner.

before his senior year of HS one of the 247 guys said Hurley and the staff were watching him quite a bit when he was blowing up during the live period and was expecting a UConn offer but I don't think it ever happened.
I think we cooled on him once we got mullins

Hodge needed an ACL repair in March, Nova probably needs a starter at that position

Yep, that killed Nova's end of the season.

Willard said he's expecting him back practicing in October but we'll see.

I was about to type the same thing to superjohn. I wouldn't count on Hodge playing this following year of 2027. He tore his ACL on February 28th and that usually takes 1 year to recover from if I am not mistaken.

woah, the one Pitino called "Church Bells"? I guess Dylan got the Pitino Push out the door. I am thinking it might have something to do with St. John's latest signing of Quinn Ellis from a league in Europe.
Wonder if Jackson will leave.

He stinks
Gritty kid, nuts like church bells, but lacked skill and size. The airball he threw up to tie against Duke was more the player he was than the layup against Kansas. Would have been a fine backup, but wonder if he wants to again.

I actually like him but it's crazy he was the starting point guard for a team as talented as St. John's. What I should've said is he stinks as a starting point guard for a high level high major team. He's fine as a P5 backup point or a mid-major starter.

I imagine there will still be some intriguing names entering the Portal before it closes 4/21. As teams bring in new players, current ones might decide to test the waters. Hopefully, UConn can get the returning roster set before it closes.

He was good on the defensive side - very pesky. Zuby though led the team in assists
