He's going to change his name to Vaaksic...Estonia is a Baltic state, not a Balkan state. Underwood must be a bit confused.

We just made it to the final with a starting backcourt of Demary Ball and Mullins. If they all return they’re all starting and they’ll all be even better than this year.So you bench Ball or Landrew ?
Ball 6th manSo you bench Ball or Landrew ?
And healthy. Even Mullins Dad said he wasn't at 100% in the Tournament. Lacked his typical explosion/quickness.We just made it to the final with a starting backcourt of Demary Ball and Mullins. If they all return they’re all starting and they’ll all be even better than this year.
There will be no Michigan, Zona, Duke caliber of teams next year as long as that big crop doesn't come back. This year was an outlier at the top.We just made it to the final with a starting backcourt of Demary Ball and Mullins. While all you Say is fair and true, this is a discussion board where people give opinions…most on this board seem to want Mullins back , which we can all agree will cost big $….. I was simply offering an alternate thought process that he may not be best play for UConn given our assumed depth at guard and 3 spot and need at center spot which on average is now most expensive player to obtain in the portal and we need 2 of themI don't think anyone knows how much money we are willing or able to spend and how.much NIL we have to offer and to who. It's all just speculation. We have a limit but what that limit is is anyone's guess. Good players cost money. Unless you don't want good players then don't sweat it. Our staff is going to distribute what we have to offer the best way they see fit. My advice is to sit back and enjoy the show because it's not like you have any control over what happens anyway. The staff has information we don't.
The big situation is tricky - we've been able to go with the two headed thing for a 3 years running because the backup big knew they were going to start after their first year, as Reibe was tagged for and to keep the process going. It was working well. Reibe blows that up and I'm sure the staff is frustrated by it. Center pool is too limited to try and be perfect with that dynamic again. I'd have to think whomever we get in the backup role is not going to be high quality. It's simply important we get a really good, an durable first option. While all you Say is fair and true, this is a discussion board where people give opinions…most on this board seem to want Mullins back , which we can all agree will cost big $….. Same place we would have gotten money for one transfer and Reibe. Him leaving clears up a big chunk of moneyAnd where do you get $$ for a pair of Centers, that’s the point no shade on Mullins just building a balanced team that can win it all ….
He purposely pulled the plug early on his season to try to squeeze another season of NIL. When he decided to sit out he put out a full statement on social media detailing his injury timeline as a clear play to appeal for another year.Played 2 years at X, then 2 years after. How does that work?
If I'm remembering right, he's a CT kid. Was a beast his sophomore year before leaving. Wonder if he ever learned how to shoot
Hell of a shooter but completely one-dimensional IMO and I will cost a fortune (if he doesn’t stay in the draft).
All good players cost money. Mullins would be favored to be our best player next year. If bigs are going to cost that much, then do we have to cut bait with good wings to afford them every year? I get it's a balance with the money allocation but if our staff is trying to sign him then they think it's a pretty good idea to bring him back. They have information we don't. Maybe we can afford a few pretty good bigs and Mullins. Maybe we like a few players that won't break the bank but we think will perform above cost. Maybe we have more NIL than most on here think. Maybe a few players take a little less $ to play for UConn. My point is without all the information, we don't know that it's an "either or" situation. Signing Mullins doesn't necessarily mean our bigs will be subpar. I get it. You are asking if an alternative allocation of our money is a better way to build a team. Who knows. Maybe it is, but I gotta give the staff(minus Murray) that got us to three finals in four years(despite the fans complaining) the benefit of the doubt that they know best. It's hard to have an informed opinion without knowing who is coming back, how much money we can offer, and who we could get regardless of what we could offer. Is nameless, faceless big man better to spend 3.5 million on than Mullins given we may have Ross and Ball back? No idea. While all you Say is fair and true, this is a discussion board where people give opinions…most on this board seem to want Mullins back , which we can all agree will cost big $….. Agree on Riebe and frankly in last month he played like he knew he was leaving…hard to believe run to the championship game didn’t bring out his best…..The big situation is tricky - we've been able to go with the two headed thing for a 3 years running because the backup big knew they were going to start after their first year, as Reibe was tagged for and to keep the process going. Reibe is dead to me. Him and that effen Husky thing was a giant German farce!
I would think Ball hits the portal if Mullins comes back. Why would he accept a 6th man role?Ball 6th man

100% - it's low character. You're part of a team, have teammates counting on you and are lucky enough to be part of a tourney run to the CG and you come out looking like you at a sh$t sandwich and look lifeless. His minutes in the CG looked like he didn't care. Go take your three pointers and your 50% FT shooting to UK.Agree on Riebe and frankly in last month he played like he knew he was leaving…hard to believe run to the championship game didn’t bring out his best…..
They both started this season and made it to the championship game. Both Mullins and Ball should’ve be better next season.I would think Ball hits the portal if Mullins comes back. Why would he accept a 6th man role?
Did he hit the portal this past year?I would think Ball hits the portal if Mullins comes back. Why would he accept a 6th man role?
Ross said he is coming back, announced that today and I’m sure Ball is too …my greatest concern as was all year is Mullins more suited to the 2 and had to play the 3 which he isn’t physical enough to, check some Colben Landrew tape and you will see a big physical three who can defend rebound create at the rim and knock down threes…Mullins will never be that physical no matter how much time he s in weight room, dosent have the frame and isn’t ex football standout like Landrew…also Max Preps just named Landrew first team All American with Stokes ,Smith etc…kids stock is rising fast and need him to feel he has great chance to start or god forbid he could de commit in today’s crazy landscape of CBB…If Hurley can convince Ball to be sixth man and they can keep Mullins as a 2 and we can still afford a good center like Hines then we can win the Natty IMO, cuz Landrew gonna be a force at the 3All good players cost money. Oof..he fouls out twice in a 40 minute span100% - it's low character. In his 39 minutes in the tourney he had 6 pts and 3 rebounds and 10 fouls.
It's one thing to sulk regarding playing time and play half-hearted towards the end of the season, but come tournament time (where everything is on display) he was just a body to absorb fouls.100% - it's low character. Flory committed to Louisville.Looks like Michigan is closing in on Flory too.
They’re about to have an elite portal class.
Biggest splash by far
I know I would. He was given plenty of PT in the BET too. He had 4 fouls in 5 minutes against Furman, the game Tarris went off in. It's almost as if Tarris having a great tourney upset the kid. It's one thing to sulk regarding playing time and play half-hearted towards the end of the season, but come tournament time (where everything is on display) he was just a body to absorb fouls.
Any decent coach recruiting Reibe as a portal addition would weigh how he still looked listless in the biggest stage of CBB.
Im aware of all this. Only thing Im not aware of is the staffs plan. I agree with you about one thing. Ball might be better as a 6th man assuming all these guys return, but only after Landrew earns the starting 3 spot. If Ball is shooting like his sophomore year and his defense improves even a little, he will be difficult to supplant. Hurley is pretty loyal. Something tells me this situation will work its way out on its own somehow. There may be something we are not anticipating that will change all these hypothetical scenarios.Ross said he is coming back, announced that today and I’m sure Ball is too …my greatest concern as was all year is Mullins more suited to the 2 and had to play the 3 which he isn’t physical enough to, check some Colben Landrew tape and you will see a big physical three who can defend rebound create at the rim and knock down threes…Mullins will never be that physical no matter how much time he s in weight room, dosent have the frame and isn’t ex football standout like Landrew…also Max Preps just named Landrew first team All American with Stokes ,Smith etc…kids stock is rising fast and need him to feel he has great chance to start or god forbid he could de commit in today’s crazy landscape of CBB…If Hurley can convince Ball to be sixth man and they can keep Mullins as a 2 and we can still afford a good center like Hines then we can win the Natty IMO, cuz Landrew gonna be a force at the 3

Vision lol. More like an aggressive offer.WHOA. That is CRAZY
Louisville must be defeated at all costs. I want these mercenary teams to all lose
Could probably make more at UConn, even as a 6th man because he has an established fan base and it surely seems like he bleeds blue with that tattoo. Shooting percentage and defense aren't as appealing as many in the portal but I'd love to have him back.I would think Ball hits the portal if Mullins comes back. Why would he accept a 6th man role?
