Entering the portal - 2026

I think you have it the other way around. He is more athletic(Not a super athelete but Alex was really bad Athlete) than Alex but not as long or as big. He is more of a 3. He is supposed to be a good shooter. He was an McDonald's All-American.

Good write up on him before he played this year as Duke. He has similar attributes on offense as Alex but probably better shooter but not as good on D as Alex is longer.

I've watched him - smart kid, a bit goofy looking. Think Alex in HS. Looks like the kind of kid that needs to put some muscle on, listed same height as Alex, but 10 lbs lighter as a frosh. Alex was skinny coming out of HS, like 190 - has put on 35lbs. No reason Nick can't put on some lbs. He'll very much be

He doesn't have the long arms that Karaban has. He is more of 3 when compared to Karaban. I don't think we want him starting at PF with how big teams abused us inside this past year even with Karaban playing the 4.

That is my concern as well

Karaban was listed at 210 when he got here for his redshirt semester. Listed at 230 this season. So he gained 20 pounds in 4 years.

Indiana has landed both Sherrell and Yigitoglu. That team is going to be gigantic
And Sherrell is a floor spacing shooter so whoever on the other team is defending against him will have to move away from the basket.

No way do we want Khamenia playing the 4. FWIW, I want the physicality and/or athletic advantage at the 4 to go in favor of UConn next year. Hell, I want that advantage as a team for UConn to have more athleticism and physicality. Colben Landrew will help with the latter.

The thing is what Hurley wants may not align with what you want, just a thought.

No and of course Hurley runs the ship, I don't. Having Khamenia at the 3 will mean he will be bigger than a lot other teams' 3.

First things first, Khamenia is not a UConn Husky until it's officially announced even if there is 100% crystal ball for 247.

If he's planning on Khamenia at the 3, then you could pretty much plan on Mullins not coming back, or Solo not coming back. One of the two. Khamenia would likely be a significant discount to Mullins because we're not fighting the NBA, and honestly potentially better value for the $$.

Look at Shaka, finally. Didn't see this kid a lick - found Ville to be one of the more boring teams in the US last year.

That's a good point because I don't think Khamenia will accept coming off the bench. As for Mullins, I would love to have him back, but I am not going to even try to predict what I think he and his family will decide because I simply do not know.

agreed, really makes me worried about Stewie and either Ball or Mullins

No way all three are coming back.

Hurley said 5, and we officially have two back. I'm guessing little Ross is back. So it's two out of those three.

The Mark Pope tweets have me dying.

Imagine seeing this every game?

Did Maryland bring in guys that will play over Adams because I don't get what else he could want, got a long leash playing at a P5, shooting tour dates and allowed to play through mistakes

Freshman guard Darius Adams, Buzz Williams' first high school recruit at Maryland, enters the transfer portal

Sounds like it...

fellow freshman guard Andre Mills surged late in the season, cementing his role as one of the program's top building blocks.

With Williams adding Tennessee transfer Bishop Boswell in the backcourt, two freshman guards set to arrive in Kayden House and Austin Brown, and more transfer guards visiting, the New Jersey native opted to find a new home.

As Hurley always says, you shouldn't run away from your problems all the time. Adams is a runner. Good luck to him.

Updated portal top 100 with Hines and others who committed today on it.

I wish we were on Massamba Diop and/or Mustapha Thiam since we still need at least one more 5. Landing either of them would bring Hakuna Matata to our program.

I can see it now, the Huskies walk onto the court in single file saying Hakuna Matata - Hakuna Matata...

Maybe Tarris and Smith can come back. I guess this would also apply to Karaban. Not sure how that 1/2 year he was at UConn early timpacts that. Well we can dream. It would be more chaos.
