Entering our NC season Uconn returned 3 players with double digit minutes played, Walker, AO, Cooms-McD. Their combined stats from the 2009 season was 23 points and 71 minutes played. Uconn lost 4 players who ave. 45 points and 113 minutes played.
Entering 2012 Uconn returns 5 players with DD minutes, they ave. 33 points and 107 minutes played. Uconn lost 4 players who ave. 39 points and 105 minutes played.
So entering 2012 Uconn returns 2 more players with DD minutes , 3 vs 5, 10 more points per game, 23 vs 33, and 36 more minutes played per game 71 vs 107.
Note we also lose our 3 worst foul shooters, thus 2012 FT % should be sig. higher.
So looking back no one could have predicted our 2010-11 NC or how good we could be until after Maui, the optimist looking towards 2012 can say we could be better entering this year than 2010 and maybe, just maybe we could have an excellent year. Now all we need is for the NCAA to lift our suspension.
