My favorite Purvis play this game was when Dayton realized they had to double up on Rodney and when they did he passed to a wide open DHam who made the three.
As long as Purvis is slashing to the basket, getting out on the break or taking a corner spot up three he is going to be an extremely effective player for us. If he tries to start shooting mid range jumpers off the bounce then he is going to have problems unless he makes a semi miraculous transformation as a player.
We learned that he's devastating in transition, both passing and getting to the rim
We learned in semi-transition we learned that he loves drifting to the corners to shoot 3s, but if he's closed out he'll blow by his guy and settle for a long 2 instead of penetrating to the rim or re-starting the offense
We learned his effort and awareness on defense comes and goes
We learned he still has the yips at the foul line
If you watch the games you'll learn stuff, I promise.
