Look, as someone who supported staying with the remaining Big East conference for football purposes when the basketball schools left, there is no question that from the perspective only of basketball, staying in the all purpose conference was a negative. I doubt many would argue with that. But that isn't the real reason we fell off the cliff. KO was the main reason we fell off the cliff, and the thought that if we stayed in the Big East he would have developed players better, or worked harder at recruiting after the one big class, or otherwise have been a better coach is pretty silly, don't you think?

It wasn't just winning/losing games.

But, I think my original post has derailed the thread enough, and my 2nd one is doing the same. This is supposed to be about enjoying our current run! I eventually need to move on from these issues I posted about myself but I still hold some bitterness and take every chance I can it seems to vocalize/write about them lol! When the OP brought up the "AAC" days I just kinda went back into old grumpy mode.

Uconn is making it look easy right now. It is not.
When these players got to know each other and started believing in each other, they jelled.
It's a very special thing. I'm sleeping better too.

I am not sleeping better because on later games I am so wound up I do not get to sleep until after midnight or 1-2 AM listening to the ESPN sports show on radio. But I am retired so I just sleep in or walk around like a zombie the next morning.

Yep- caught them at Resort World. Thought I was in the wrong place until I saw a husky being walked through the casino!
