Someone (Geno?) anonymously gave a large donation to the fund associated with Lauren Hill. If you have some extra cash and are looking for a 2014 tax break, consider a donation to assist pediatric cancer research. I've dealt with cancer 3x (successfully so far, thank God), but I can't imagine a young person with any form of that disease.

Just saw a post that said Lauren's fund for pediatric cancer has hit $1m.

Not sure if this is allowed but in case anyone is looking for another cause to support: my organization (which provides free legal aid to the most disadvantaged, under-served, low-income populations in Chicago) is slightly under our goal of raising 10K during the holidays. $5 dollars provides one free hour with an attorney for such people as undocumented immigrations, sex workers, and day laborers.
