Three No 1 seeds failed to reach final 4, who will be ranked immediately right after UConn in the end of season poll?

So don't tell us about the "weak" AAC.

amazing!!!!

No way should Syracuse and Washington get ranked above teams like ND, Baylor, and SCar. I know the tourney matters most but we should still take into account the regular season somewhat...
They got to the FF... ND, Baylor and Scar didn't... they deserved to ranked ahead :P

Not that it matters a bit, but I don't think the ratings of the top four should change.

How about the beginning of next season poll....that's going to be quite interesting...........will UConn be the number one ranked team going into next year?........I would guess there will be many that have Notre Dame or perhaps Baylor as number one based solely on their excellent recruiting clases

Hopefully ESPN will come out with their Too Early Top 25 today or tomorrow (like the men yesterday). I have:
1. Notre Dame
2. UConn
3. Baylor
4. South Carolina
5. Maryland
6. Ohio State
7. Texas
8. Louisville
9. Syracuse
10. Oregon State

I think probably SC and ND remain in the 2/3 or 3/2 spots, but suspect OSU might move in front of Baylor - the other FF participants will move up significantly, but they had so much ground to cover that they will not make it into the top 5. TN I assume will be back in the poll, but outside the top ten for the same reason.

Isn't it fair to say that almost all of the top ranked teams are loosing significant players this year,,,,I know that UConn's players are a notch above but Baylor, Notre Dame, South Carolina, Maryland, Texas, Oregon State and certainly Syracuse are loosing key members of their squads

My completely off the wall ranking based on the all games watched:
1. UConn
2. ND
3. OSU
4. SYR

The NCAA tournament is one and done and there is the matter of match up, seedings etc..so my ranking is based on my personal opinion of best teams seen.

This is true. But you have to look at the other two parts of the equation. Who are the players returning. All of the above teams are returning good players as well. Who are the newcomers on each team. Some are getting better players than others. So predicting the top teams is a three part process.

Baylor has to drop out of top 5. Played a weak out of conference schedule and were exposed by Oregon St. Maybe behind UConn, ND, SC, Ore. St, Syr, OSU, MD.

Baylor loses 1 of its top 8 players
ND loses a few but its key players (Turner, Allen) return

Richard Deitsch of SI tweeted that he has:

1. Notre Dame
2. Baylor
3. UConn
4. Stanford
5. Ohio State

I'm guessing #5 for us. We've lost our heart and soul and spleen or [equivalent other morgan, I mean organ].

I will be really curios to see what the pollsters do. Tennessee was unranked prior to the start of the tourney. Can't see them vaulting up to top 10 after their wins over ASU and OSU. Maybe they get to about 20. Plus even tho they had those wins, they also lost to Syracuse. Not sure that they are a top 10 team, but regardless, you don't get to jump 3o spots in the polls just because you had 2 good wins. Just my humble opinion

Also i don't think you can just go by the final 4 and say they are ranked 1,2,3 and 4. Think about it like it's the regular season - if Syracuse had a stretch where they beat Tennessee, SC, Albany, Army and Washington, it wouldn't be enough to get them to #2. South Carolina was the only team ranked ahead of them that they beat. It's unrealistic to think they would jump from 14 spots to 2 with those wins.

At the end of the regular season, Syracuse was 15, Tennessee about 30, Washington about 28, and Stanford about 14. With Tennessee's nice wins over ASU and OSU, I'd put them about 20. Washington beat Kentucky, Maryland and Stanford. I'd put them at about 15.

I'd actually put it something like this for the top 10:
  1. UCONN
  2. Oregon State
  3. Baylor
  4. Notre Dame
  5. Texas
  6. Syracuse
  7. South Carolina
  8. Maryland
  9. UCLA
  10. Stanford

my end of season top 10 rankings:
1) UConn
2)
3)
4)
5)
6)
7)
8)
9)
10) Oregon State

There is lots of room for teams to improve before they would be deserving of the numbers closer to UConn
