But we just got our asses beat by a 1-AA team on opening night at home. We didn't choke, we didn't pull an LSU and take this team seriously. We got beat by 1-AA team at home on opening night.

Luckily for us, this was the first time in our history we have a full squad of FBS size and speed players. Imagine if we didn't? I'm just fugging with you. But Paul Pasqualoni is an unmitigated disaster. I like him as a person. Think he is a real decent human being but as a head football coach he is like washed up boxer. Everyone knows he needs to hang it up, but him.

I'm at a loss for words, and that's not easy to do. It's not the athletes, they have the ability, the speed, the size. Look at a guy like Stewart. This is a guy that was tearing up the field at Florida in the Gator Bowl. He looked like he didn't know how to play football last night. THe talent is there. Everybody in this program better get their sh#t in gear.

Kinda speaks to the fact that you can't polish a turd doesn't it? I myself tried convincing myself when P was hired, that while he won't push the program to the next level, we will at least maintain the Edsall level and as young program that wasn't all that bad and the next "guy" could be the splashy hire. Internally i feared what I saw last night. A team, coaching staff, and fan base just going through the motions. There has never been less energy around our program. P has sucked the life out of this thing in unimaginable ways.

P was a great coach back in the day and i thought he could deliver a fundamentally sound football team. I have no idea what he did this summer because all three sides if the ball looked bad last night. When i saw how short the first uconn return was i was shocked. Then it lead to many three and outs and before u knew it we were in-trouble. Defense is soft no pass rush at all. Offense as anemic as ever. I dont see any value in firing him now as all the plays are set but he needs to go

There is hope the season is not tanked. Many teams lost to 1aa and went on to have good seasons and bowl games. Teams in mich tougher confetences. Va tech michigan. It actually took two blocked field goals by iowa to not get beat by northern iowa in one of their best years (orange bowl)

Offense wide recievers showed life and i thought mccombs looked improved from last year. Play calling looks better i love the spread look. We just need to get it together and fast

Defense. Obi well lets just call him obi looked good he stood out and screams nfl caliber player. But we need to get tougher and fast

I agree with the first part. And... Despite last night... I still think P has recruited better players. I just think he is spectacularly efficient at coaching players down instead of up. Said another way- a better coach can be successful with the kids that are here.

I was never Randy's biggest fan, nor was I his biggest detractor - and I will admit I loved slurring him when he left. I will be standing and cheering when he comes out in 2 weeks.

Football is not strictly a size game anymore. It hasn't been in 15+ years. P & D can't adapt. They can't adapt to anything.

Spreads, options, etc... these things have changed the game. Our coaches haven't figured that out.
