Elon vs Hofstra

Elon was down 11 points with about 2 minutes left in the first round of the conference tourney and managed to roar back, losing by only 2, 77-75. Hofstra's Boogie Brozoski went off for - wait for it - 42 points on 13-24 shooting. Boogie took 24 of the team's 56 shots. You'd think Elon would have tried guarding her. My son was rather disgusted with the defense. Yes, he got to go to Delaware with the pep band for the game. Lucky him.

Bad season for Elon... but they were hurt by injuries and transfers. I suspect they will bounce back to respectability next season. Already looking forward to next year's Colonial Tournament.... as it will be held at Elon.
