Elite 24

Rippey is high flying for 6'1. Ament likes to shoot. Lewis showing a lot more than Peach Jam. I'd rather have the 6'4 guards in this class and a Rippey in 2026 class, but Lewis is crafty. Toure hasn't touched the ball yet and no sighting of Reibe. Toure 1 in lane

This is the first I’ve seen Shon Abaev play. He has a very impressive game. Especially running the offense at 6’-7”. I don’t think there’s any UConn connection yet.

Glad I taped this. It's going to need a rewatch. Toure 3 for 3 Big time in traffic jam for #4 Huge jam for #5 off rebound, #6 another big time dunk

Rippey, Mingo, Abaev, Lewis, Kinney, PG position loaded in this game, (Bazz in attendance)
Staton, Moreno, quality bigs
Toure, Marcus Jackson, wing dunking machines, (Toure is a quick dunker)
Karim Lopez won't be college but would be impact
Ament needs to pass sometimes but 42% from 3 with range

Curious how you dudes negotiate with the wife on a Saturday night to check out summertime BB. That's next level stuff. Your input is appreciated. LOL
She usually lets me watch any sport that I want to watch. I kept her happy by switching over to the Olympics during timeouts.
I was also out last night until 2am for a neighborhood poker game !

Article about the Elite 24. Shon Abaev was the MVP.

Always known for his ability to stretch defenses with his shooting, Abaev's rise has a lot to do with his expanded game off the dribble and his elevated focus on making plays for others. That was all on full display as he nearly put together a triple double during the game. He drove to the rim, he whipped passes all over the floor and he played the game like winning really mattered to him. It was a fitting end to a strong three days of work from the scorer.
