With the tyoe of DL's we were briinging in since P took over I was convinced that we were moving to a 3-4 with a blitzing LB (or two) being responsible for the pass rush. We never made that move yet have four linemen on the field who are built more to clog up the lanes than to get a push on the QB.

The defense we are running is a problem against a reasonably efficient passing offense (why we were able to keep Michigan and USF down to few points) as the huge cushions in the secondary for a receiver to settle down in make pitch and catch too easy if there is no pass rush.

Alternate Campenni & Myers at NT, play a three man line and have at least one LB blitz (preferably from an open spot) at all times (somewhat similar to what Dallas did with Ware under Wade Phillips).

Makes sense to me. Having pruitt at DE is a non starter. Has been since last year when I saw him perfectly positioned against Cinny, and couldn't keep contain due to lack of foot speed. That Wake NT is no fuggin joke. Single handedly destroying UMD oline.

The def ends are pathetic. Jesse Joseph is a shell of his former self. Guy has no speed or quickness. Whole del line gets no push. Linebackers have been a disappointment....calling Stewart and Donahue. Depth is an issue when you are at the bottom of the big east every year in recruiting. No talent whatsoever in front seven sans Smallwood.
