Easter is the darkhorse pick for best food holiday. I've done Honeybaked and Harrington's and I liked them both, but I'm ready to swallow the red pill and move another level deeper into the smoked meat matrix.

In recent years we and another couple we know have bought a pig. A farmer raises it, in the fall it gets slaughtered, and we split the meat with the other couple. We end up stuffing the downstairs freezer with all sorts of pig meats, including the tastiest hams you are ever going to eat.
