Just did a look in on NFL network. Unfortunately he dropped a pass thrown to him but good to see Marcus back on the field..

Sweet! Marcus was great - unfortunate that Edsall overlooked him. Doesn't help when you don't have a passing game!

Darius Butler struggling again...wouldn't be shocked to see him cut..

Easley looked much better today than he has all month. I really felt like he was pressing due to the the injuries. Hopefully this helps him turn the corner as there is a lot of PT there for the taking and Gailey likes to throw the ball.

Several times, late in the SD-Ariz game the announcers were talking about Todman and Sherman having been teammates at UConn.
-Sherman played great. Had several big blocks that sprung the RB for multiple big gains.
-Todman had 2 carries for 9 yards, but had a huge 19 yard 4th down conversion catch and run late in the fourth. Both of those guys have played their way into solid PT.
-Also saw Lutrus around the ball a ton in his game. 3 or 4 tackles. He also had a great play where he forced a fumble and came up with the loose ball. He dove and punched the ball out of the hands of the receiver (who was reaching out with it for more yardage). Unfortunately, they reviewed it and decided the WR's shoulder was barely down before the fumble. Barely. Still, a very heads up play by Scottie. I think he is turning some heads.

What are you basing that on? The last TD? He had three breakups during the game and didn't give up a single completion in his direction. Even the announcers didn't see him do anything wrong on his holding penalty. He jammed the guy fairly at the line.

There's no way Darius Butler is getting cut. Get real.

He has played a ton this preseason. As opposed to J Wilhite. More concering for the Patriots is the safety position. Merriwether and Chung look lost, while Sanders is soft, and so they stuck Kyle Arrington back there (which bumped Butler to the #3 CB position). I think the Arrington experiment might be over though because he was also confused.

Crying shame that we only got to enjoy his WR talents at UConn for 2/3 of a season.

I still can't understand it. Given Edsall's troubles with developing WRs, how could this have happened?
