Ray Ray en fuego in the 2nd quarter. Saw the game live, but forgot about it. I think that can be a problem when it comes to a series. I can remember UConn NCAA games before Ray Ray, but in a playoff series, it becomes jumbled together. Anyway, a tremendous performance by the future HOFer (AI as well).

Thanks Rich. Just because.......:)

Ray will make the HOF easily, I sure hope Iverson makes it. AI was one bad 6'1" baller!

Ray and Kobe came in the league together and both still standing.

Ray was the 4th or 5th draft choice, Kobe was in the teens.

Not an AI fan. But you're right about him being a bad baller. My favorite thing about him is that he calls KO a friend and rooted for us in the Final Four. I know some of his family, and don't have a problem with them, but I always viewed AI as a punk. Again, not a fan.

Now Ray and Kobe still standing is amazing. Kobe's barely standing, though.

Ray was traded. So was Kobe. The TWolves and Hornets made some stupid draft day decisions.

Ray was a JR in college. Kobe was a SR in high school.

Stupid - you want stupid?! The Bay Area talk shows were all over Golden State that they should draft Kobe. His father played for them back in the day, he was the best available player, on and on... Who did they draft? Todd Fuller from NC State. Worst possible decision ever made by the franchise.

Of course, there have been many over the years........

Do you really doubt that AI makes the hall? AI was better in my opinion in that he was one of the top 5 players in the league for a long run. I don't know if Ray was ever considered that. AI had 11 all star appearances and 7 All NBA teams. Ray had 10 and 2. AI is a giant and Ray isn't and AI flamed out while Ray has held on and remained a productive piece. Still, I don't think anyone would have taken Ray over AI in their respective prime's.

AI was an unpopular NBA rep. His style off court rubbed the brasses in the worst way. They instituted a dress code to stop the gangster look. My doubt may be unwarranted but he was never was beloved by the NBA or many non Sixers fans for that matter.

As for his game, well there is no dispute how great he was. I guess I am hoping that his ballot doesn't become contested.

People forget how great of an all around basketball player he was... crossing guys over, dunking on whoever, and even then going crazy from beyond the arc and hitting game winners
