From talking with Jerome at the Hartford Pro AM, I think there is a chance that he now recognizes some things he needed to change but until recently either did not identify them (despite being told repeatedly by the coaches) or did not have the maturity to change. The D League kind of gives guys a dose of reality and a wake up call - I take Jerome at his word he is now prepared to do certain things differently.
I think if he truly focuses now on serious game prep and spending time on improving weaknesses in his game rather than just running up in down in street ball doing what he already does well - then he could be step up and see some playing time.
Contrary to what many on this board imply it was never personal between Jerome and me. I thought he was wasting his God given talent and I basically said so - he knows that and today probably agrees with me. Make no mistake, he usually played hard, but he was not disciplined when it came to game prep both on and off the court.
