During warm ups Da U and Clemson got into

I guess Al Golden hasn't taken all the fight out of those kids, although after today I imagine they will totally quit on him. I'm not sure I've ever seen a coach completely waste as many good players as this guy does.

I think some Florida High Schools are better than THE U. Just because they are in the ACC, they think they are still a POWERHOUSE. If 'THE U' was a powerplant, it would be producing .0001 Kilowatts of electricity.

Appears the kids didn't wait for the game to end to quit. It's not as close as the 42-0 halftime deficit indicates.

I think the guy that owns the company that flies banners around is going to be unhappy. Golden is history for sure now, so the banners may not be needed for much longer.

I'd be surprised if he isn't sent packing by tonight/next morning (at the latest).

Golden is 'Fools Golden' :D

Ain't that the truth. The guy has fooled his employer out of a lot of money for sure. I'm not sure what coaching job he will ever be able to get after this though.

Following their 58-0 loss to Clemson today, Miami AD Blake James said that there will be no coaching change

>>Miami: Following their 58-0 loss to Clemson this afternoon, Miami athletic director Blake James told Dave Hyde of the Sun-Sentinel that the game was “disappointing” but that there would be no coaching change coming after the game. “We’ll go and get ready to play Duke” James added.<<

SMU used to be a powerhouse. Then they had to stop cheating so blatantly.

Miami needs a much tougher coach than Golden. Dealing with the "U" culture that's permiated the school for years is not for the faint of heart. As for Golden, he'll be let go but will find another HC job. That just wasn't a good fit.

I heard that the prison warden in Enfield is looking to move up!:)

He's a lifetime .500 coach who has never won his league, never won a bowl game, routinely gets beat by double figures and had a season that produced more NFL draft picks than it did wins. He's going to have trouble finding a job as a head coach. It may not matter though as he has made a good amount of money and will be collecting a buyout of some sort. I can see the guy ending up on television somewhere because he knows how to talk about football, even if he doesn't know how to coach it very well.

Guess he really was only referring to "after the game" - he didn't mention Sunday ;)

Al Golden has been fired

I really didn't think they would do it until after the season, even though he probably didn't deserve to finish out the season after their game yesterday. The times have changed in college football for sure, you used to never see a coach get the axe during the season unless there was some scandal. This year I can think of three guys that got fired mid season, four if you count Sarkisian.
