Just saw dukie on espn and when asked about what second round matchup really intrigues him in all the brackets he said uconn/uk. he called uconn "a very dangerous team with two lottery picks, chip on their shoulder a coach who really understands how to win in a one and done and played well at end of year. that could be a very tough matchup ku should be very leary of that matchup".

should we make it to the second rd uk should win the game because they have played better basketball than we have all year and are considered the best team in the country but if we play our best basketball uk will have the toughest matchup in the second round of all the one seeds. btw id laugh my a## off if we upset ku. their fanbase will go apesh!t

we got nothing to lose of course we have to beat ISU first

He's talking about having 2 lottery picks on the floor for us as a sign that we can play with anyone. I think that's a naive opinion. It means the individuals are talented (or at least have potential to become talented), but it's a team game, and our team hasn't been that much more dangerous than the other 8/9 seeds.

Of course, he's also having a conniption over the fact that Duke hasn't been mentioned yet.

I think Drummond can do a number on Davis.

If we get there, we can't really use our 3-guard offense, and TO is going to struggle in such a game. MKG and Jones are both strong 3-4 tweeners, and we'll need Roscoe and AO to play a lot.

That said, Bazz and Boatright are going to kill Teague.

In the UK-Vandy game today, the commentators talked about the size of the Kentucky guards and how you need to have size on the perimeter both to be able to shoot against them and to defend them. That's something we don't have in Boat and Bazz, who are both undersized.

But I don't think any of us should be looking past ISU, who pose matchup problems of their own.

Unless we went to a bigger lineup put Lamb on Lamb. Like when Jeremy defended Mack in the title game. The key to beating Kentucky is getting them in foul trouble.

With that being said, Iowa St. is going to be a really tough match up.

Now Dookie V talking about the "will to win of the Duke kids" as a reason for them to make the Elite 8.

Anybody have any other white-person sports cliches they can throw out?

Dickie V. still has Kentucky beating us and winning it all. Coming close is still losing. Let's beat Iowa State and go get Kentucky! If we can do that, as another poster said, we can turn the bracket upside down. I just hope the guys take Iowa State seriously. They're a good team. Game preparation should be rebounding, boxing out, winning 50/50 balls, and defending the three.
