2. Charleston Southern is out for revenge for last year, and you can throw out the record books when Duke and A&T meet.

Sets up nice for a Revenge Tour .. Texas A&M has beaten us 3 straight times, we owe Toledo for beating us when we were ranked #5 back in 2001, Northwestern embarrassed us in Cameron a few years back, Richmond has beaten us three straight times in FOOTBALL, and FGCU whipped our arses a few years ago.

3. We are still in rebuilding mode, so baby steps are appropriate... our schedule will get tougher in the future

4. Duke is in the toughest of the ACC schedule pods..... home and homes with VPI, NC, State, and UVA. Thats 6 games vs probable pre-season top 15 squads, plus UVA. We went 1-7 in that pod last year. Thats a tough conference sled... so we should get some slack for the OOC.

They're also in the Phil Knight Legacy tournament and their pool includes Iowa, Oregon State and UConn. As someone said about NC State in the ACC / Big South thread, they need only a few good non-conference opponents to balance the gauntlet of the ACC.

A Neutral site game vs the mighty Huskies of UConn along with a probable game vs the feisty Beavers of Oregon State in their backyard (pond??) DId some research on Toledo. Toledo was 19-1 in the Mighty MAC last season, before getting upset in the conference tournament. Finished 29-6 after a few wins in the WNIT, and they return their top 9 players from last season. They have finished in the top 30 in attendance in 8 of the last 9 seasons. In the last non-covid affected season, they finished #26, ahead of such notables as TAMU, Texas, Duke and Stanford. That won't be an easy road game. All in all, not as bad of a schedule as some would lead you to believe.
