She had 12 blocks in the game against Wake Forest and ended up with a triple double. However Duke was not impressive. Tuning in to the Maryland Vs GT game now...

They're a young squad (Start 4 So & 1 Fr) and they'll get better... They will catch-up to the tempo they play at.

I seem to recall that UConn liked her a lot. There was a reason for that.

Watching GT/MD on ESPN3 aka watch ESPN. GT up 3 in first, 6 left.

Went to the game tonight... first chance seeing Duke play in person. I was really looking forward to seeing Williams play. She definitely didnt disappoint.... well worth the drive over to Winston Salem tonight. WOW WOW WOW.

glad you enjoyed

18 points, 16 rebounds, and 12 blocks for Elizabeth. Outstanding!

Meanwhile, the Terps rallied from 20 down in the second half to win by 3 and maintain their undefeated record.

and she lived in Connecticut !-... West Hartford,- when very young, for a couple of years, when her Dad worked at a hospital in Hartford..... per my chatting with she and parents at Final Four in Indy....

Williams was named ACC rookie of the week for the 4th time today. Not sure what the ACC record is.... but for Duke.. Alana Beard was named ROW 7 times.. and Monique Currie 5 times. I have a feeling Williams will garner a few more ROW awards before the end of the season.

You guys should be really, really good once Williams and the sophomores get some more experience. Final Four this year might be a bit of a reach, but the Dookies should be a FF team next year and the year after.

I think Duke has had games in which Jackson, Liston, and Williams have starred. They have nice balance with the sophomores. I'm looking for Chelsea Gray to star as well.

We have 5 players averaging in double figures..... and Jackson is on the cusp... and should be averaging in double figures very soon. Its nice to have such a balanced attack. MD has one as well.... and its no wonder that MD and Duke are on the top of the standings. MD presents the biggest challenge for EW this season.. they have a number of big bodies to throw at her.. unlike most other opponents.

I like your sophs. With this year's frosh plus Alexis Jones next year, I think you have the second best talent in the country, particularly post-Griner. Now beat Maryland!

Do I have to ask who you think will have the best talent in the country next year ?? :p

Not really. :) We have outstanding talent now. People in the know think that Breanna Stewart will compete for BE POY as early as her freshman year. Morgan Tuck is a more conventional player, but very, very effective. Moriah is Calvin Murphy.
