Incredible image. The lady behind Mamadou Diarra -- what got her attention? She's the only one not laser focused
Reed was great but so was Boozer. But I think the only reason he is saying that is because Duke lost. Had Duke won the game, Boozer would have been the hero and Reed would have been forgotten. Right or wrong that's how it goes in sports.Francesca podcast “Reed was the best player on the floor by far and that’s including Boozer.” Can’t disagree.
She was like Steph Curry, looking away knowing it was night night for the Dukies so of course she was watching to see the reaction on their faces. 😎Incredible image. The lady behind Mamadou Diarra -- what got her attention? She's the only one not laser focused
Keep that bad boy flying. Put the new one up a week from tomorrow!Speaking of flags... we had a lot of wind around here in Feb/Mar, so my flag looks like it's been through Gettysburg. My birthday is this week and I asked for a new flag.
So the question is, do I keep the ratty old one flying, which is at this point an embarrassment to our relatively well-heeled neighbors, or do I switch it out to a beautiful new one in time for Friday's game?

I'm going to miss him next year. Luke too, but
Don't you dare change it. Leave it alone at this point.Speaking of flags... we had a lot of wind around here in Feb/Mar, so my flag looks like it's been through Gettysburg. My birthday is this week and I asked for a new flag.

Probably realizing the Conte Forum isn’t going to be quite as electric as this…
dont even think of taking that thing down until the seasons over. They need all the crazy we can give themKeep that bad boy flying. Put the new one up a week from tomorrow!

You shouldn’t change your underwear, much less that flag.Speaking of flags... we had a lot of wind around here in Feb/Mar, so my flag looks like it's been through Gettysburg. My birthday is this week and I asked for a new flag.

in draft circles he's been criticized for lack of lift causing him to be easily disrupted by late help. the turnovers and getting blocked etc are part of this. it's not a new criticism though and it's the main reason why he has a perceived lower ceiling as an offensive hub compared to other top pick contenders.i know he was the best duke player on the floor all game, but i've been a bit surprised that CAMERON Boozer hasn't come under some criticism.
he turned the ball over at 1:05, then goes under the tarris screen on the next sequence giving Alex the space to get off his three. He makes the driving basket on the next play (extremely close to traveling) but then fouls Demary on the play after that (was that intentional?). This doesn't even mention his foul on Solo's and 1, which wasn't totally his fault but still, if you're gonna foul you gotta make sure he doesn't complete the bucket.
of course, overall, he was a beast and the reason duke was up by 19 to begin with. I just find it interesting that he has not come in for second guessing at all. three plays there were incredibly important down the stretch.
I thought it was a travel. Looked a little like Trajan Langdon, honestlyHe makes the driving basket on the next play (extremely close to traveling)
I’ll say something about the game tomorrow. Still too high and shocked. But very quickly:
1, That extends our winning streak in NCAA tourney games from the sweet 16 forward to an unbelievable 18 straight. Last loss being in the ‘09 Final Four to Michigan State.
2. That extends our winning streak in regionals (rounds 3 and 4) to 14 straight. We have won 7 straight regionals we have made with the last loss going back to ‘06.
Those two numbers are not impressive, they are closer to statistically impossible.
3. To get out of the East Region this year, we only had to beat UCLA, the team with the most national championships ever, Duke, the only team to compete with us for championships over the last 35 years and the team that has dominated that period in terms of Final Fours and Sweet Sixteens, and Michigan State, maybe the most consistently good but not
Yep, love it! But I would say it's more like 40 years with that first NIT run. That was big back in the day.great program in the last 25 years as well as the last team to beat us past the first two rounds.
What this program has accomplished out of nowhere for the last 36 years is truly remarkable.
Ya know, it's really all the hate that makes this so much fun.If you really want to enjoy your day read our opponents message boards.
Providence: They hate us but like the money UConn is getting them
Syracuse: They hate us but respect what UConn is doing.
North Carolina: It's like Christmas Day for them. They hate us, but hate Duke way more.
Lots of laughs.
Probably the wrong thread for this but just going to say it. Screw the ACC. We belong in the Big 10!Nope...we beat them in Football and now in basketball...ACC you didn't want us before...we could beat you in every sport...
That's some solid mojo right there. Thanks Chuck! He basically said the same thing in 2014 during the halftime show of the UConn v Michigan State game if memory serves me correct. Chuck is predictable and rarely right.
16He's getting overshadowed because of the "shot". He is the only reason we didn't lose that game by double digits. He played so well, I'd call it Kemba level tourney impact. Easily the best of any UConn big in a tourney, move aside Emeka.
Was the difference in the game - I think we had like 13 points off TO's.
Having tall guards seems to be important. 2014 was a total outlier winning with two 6 foot guards.
