With the campus locked down, I doubt even the corrupt will risk they bring a player who was exposed and bring down everything down

So...turns out, as every non-paranoid, rational person knew would happen, Duke didn't make the NCAAs. Aren't even one of the four replacement teams.

Maybe assuming extreme bad faith on the part of the selection committee and being so conspiracy minded that you'd think an athletic department might shut down their program in the middle of a conference tournament in order to preserve a potential NCAA bid isn't a really good way to stay connected to reality?
