Funny for them to say that. If they come anywhere close to an invite than it’s an absolute joke. ESPN has been really riding the coat tails of the “blue blood” title when most of those teams have been atrocious this year. Glad we are covered on Fox Sports now cause it’s hard to listen to.

Of course that is exactly what happened. K was trying to avoid the indignity of having his bubble burst on Sunday, someone obviously tipped him off that there is a decent chance of getting in. No doubt the networks would love to have Duke play on Tuesday for ratings.

Sounds like Cuse is in BTW. Root for Georgetown and other upsets to keep Duke out.

I knew it. And, yes, they were tipped off by the head of the selection committee. You know, the guy who is THEIR AD. Tipped himself off. Duke is in.

Cuse is in, I wouldn't be surprised if Duke is in too. The committee is not going to pick Drake over Duke. Networks will want their ratings. Duke will deliver the eyeballs on Tuesday because so many people will be rooting against them. Root for Cincy to put the squeeze on but the committee will probably find a small school to move off the board.

Seriously. Multiple teams in major conferences had to forfeit games in the tournament. That's crazy.

Virginia and Kansas are in if they can play. Duke isn't, but they're a big draw and the only one that has a modicum of drama. (They aren't going to be in today's field regardless).

I don't root for Duke and I hope they don't get in but the idea that they have no chance just because you don't like them is BS. The fact that they draw so much emotion from people actually increases their chances.

Good. Now when they get left out it they can’t use the Covid narrative. It will be because they legitimately suck this year.

I don't believe they will get in because KenPom is just one figure and hardly the sole metric of who gets in and who doesn't. Do you think Colgate has a shot?

The bolded part is just not true. It's the overly lazy, cynical take that is belied by the actual evidence.
