I keep up with some of the schools up there. I have cousins that attended Ashville, NC State, and App State. Best friend and his wife who are Mississippi State grads work for App state.

Hey! You’re trying to change the subject here. Duke took a 22 point drubbing on which FGCU was hoping to boost their resume for the committee. This could be similar to all those teams that had the initial wins over ND, only to find out that ND is Brutal. I guess I can look forward to the ND-Duke game for the battle of recent has-beens, or in Duke’s case “kind of recent”...
Ha just a momentary digression to help ease the pain of our suffering friend. Don't worry, I intend to watch the replay of this game just to dissect where it all went wrong for Duke. Was it coaching? Or was it coaching? Inquiring minds want to know...

Odom didnt play in this game, they didnt say anything about what kinda injury it was. Kyra Lambert got a technical in the second half. I had looked away for a section to watch the NFL game.... and heard them say Technical Foul on Duke. Not sure what she said or did to warrant a technical. Certainly out of character. I know the frustration of this season so far is wearing on her.

It's a scary, scary world when two players from Florida Gulf Coast in Ulel and Wingate combine to outscore Duke 57-56.

I don't want to see this version of Florida Gulf Coast in Maples this year.

.-.
I went back and watched this replay last night. To anyone who missed this game, I highly recommend watching it. FGCU's guards are absolutely electric with their speed, passing and 3-point shooting. I had seen them win 3 games in Cancun but they were even more impressive in this game. They were severely undersized against Duke and did get outrebounded by a wide margin, but compensated with hustle and speed.

What's really remarkable is that Keri Jewett-Giles, a prolific scorer (exploded for 35 points against LSU, for example) had a miserable shooting day (1-12), but Davion Wingate (30 points) and Nas Ulel (27) were absolutely on fire.

1) Hearing that Davion Wingate's father was David Wingate... made me feel old. I remember him from his Georgetown days, and later as a player for my Charlotte Hornets.

2) I really dont want to watch the replay... but I do want to see what happened that led to the Kyra Lambert Technical foul.

Yeah I remember Wingate from Georgetown too.

With Lambert, I think she just thought she just didn't like the foul call and conveyed to the official. I have no idea what specifically she said to get the tech, but afterward, reading her lips, I'm pretty sure she said to her teammates, "That was all ball! F----!"
