Love the pic of Kiah blocking EWill!
There are some terrific photos.
DWHoops - really great photos and a nice recap. Your site is great - just curious, I do not see a credit for your photographer, just for the site. Whoever you have taking the photos does a really good job.
Thanks! We always work to provide balanced coverage including galleries with photos of players from both teams. That is much easier to do when Duke's opponent plays quality basketball, as Connecticut always does.
I'll publish a more detailed recap from Rob either later today or tomorrow.

It's me. See my avatar? And my byline is at the top of the pages with the photos.
I don't know if you cover every game like that but, your hard work shows. MORE than a professional effort!
Great photos and great captions. I like the ones of the coaches, and the ones of the players are great.
Last night was the first game of a 4 game series.Does anybody here know how many games are left on the current UConn/Duke contract?

Thanks for the info... been wondering about that myself. I have a feeling that the 2014 matchup in Durham will be a marquee matchup. Just a feeling....

Looks like two more cold January trips for me then. Is the general opinion that this game will continue to be played on campus, or would we possibly see Hartford? And are all the blizzards scheduled for odd years?
Thanks, I do enjoy writing the captions almost as much as taking the photos.
The best compliment I can give your photos is that you don't need words to tell the story of the game.
The words are good, though, and here is the caption I liked best: "Gray hits her third three pointer to make it 19-15 UConn. She would only have four more points the rest of the way."
I think UConn was most concerned with Gray's driving ability; hence, Kelly and Tiff playing a step off her when she launched the second and third deep treys. Since CD singled out Gray as the x-factor whom UConn wanted to contain, I expected Kelly (not Bria) to guard her to start the game. Gray and Hartley were the 1-2 PGs in their class, weren't they? I wonder if the coaches threw that down as a challenge to Bria.
Gray is a real nice passer. She'd fit in well at UConn. But I'm still glad we got Bria. She's quicker and has a great feel for the game, knowing when her team needs her to take over. And she's clutch.
