A different type game yesterday. No press, we really didnt need it and didnt need the to take a chance on having a starter get hurt, ala Caroline. USF focused their defense on Bria and KML. Now alot of fans have been saying we need to get Stef and Tiff going. Well because Stef was played one on one she got going which shows she shoots a high percentage and you need to double team her. This also benefited Tiff as the lanes were open as well has the 10-15 footers..
Duke will try to dribble penetrate at Stef much like the other night to get her in foul trouble. I expect the UConn guards to do the same to EWilliams. This is a really good Duke team but the difference in this game will be defense and I think UConn wins out.
It was great to see Stef play so well one on one and I wonder how she will defend EWilliams. I also wonder how EWilliams will defend Stef and Kiah. I look for Heather to get some minutes defending EWilliams. UConn is to disiplined and to cohesive to lose this game unless there is some home cooking. For those of you worried about this game remember, Baylor and ND are better teams then Duke and UConn lead both games and imo lost it at the line. I dont think that can happen at Duke.
