OT: Duke and Syracuse to play “non-conference” home and home series with both games at MSG

Yes I am aware today is “April Fools Day” so it is entirely possible I am made to look like a fool but….

this is also the same league that played a Wake Forest/UNC football home and home series in the “non-conference” and this is 100% something both Syracuse and Duke would do so for now…. ‍we are running with it as true

different series being commented on but “posting an April Fools joke is a bit beneath me” would seem to indicate this isn’t a joke

Here's how that call went:

DUKE: We'd love to play UConn at MSG, would be a great TV event.

Cuse: Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!

Or

DUKE: We need some games at MSG, but we also would like to win.

Cuse: I'm your huckleberry.

My take; Wishful thinking by a 'cuse fan. As Uconn star is reaching its zenith theirs is sinking in the ocean. "Gee, wouldn't this be a boost to our anemic recruiting and maybe make us relevant again".

Does this mean you play anywhere and call it a "home" game. I'm surprised Duke didn't say "sure SU, we'll give you a home game. It will be held at Cameron."

I have my doubts that this is anything more than an April Fool's joke but if it is, it tells me that both schools are terrified that we are about to make ourselves a far bigger thing in NYC/MSG than either of them (they both like to think they are big deals there) and this is a feeble attempt to counteract that.

Words are supposed to mean things.

Hopefully it's a joke. Lol.

They probably won't have an ACC conference to play in soon anyway.
