Reading this post, I see that the vast majority of posters get it. Emmert and his grudge against Calhoun/UConn has no bounds. I am usually the last one to advocate the legal approach but in this case - I say do it - if you could create any case that wasn't frivilous. Who cares about the case itself? It would really be about shedding some light on NCAA internal communications.

You know, the walk-on thing might indeed make a huge difference. I hadn't thought of that.

Nope. Being a walk-on is irrelevant. Except for certain hardship situations, a transfer has to attend two semesters of class at his new school before he can play. Doesn't matter if he had a scholarship from his previous school.

Who gives a S---! I think AD needs to stay one or two more years. He has wondergul athleticism and a basketball player trying to come out of the body. That being said, if there is noone to to challenge him at practice, then will he actually improve? Like Rivers, who is there to make him better? Why not leave and get your ass kicked for a year or so, and then be worth a damn in the game.

An NCAA ban is an excuse, not a reason. The NCAA tournament rarely increases or decreases a guy's NBA draft status. Drummond will be a top 5 pick if he goes now. He'll be a top 5 pick if he goes after next year, and he'll be a top 5 pick if he stays for 4 years. the only reason that changes is if he gets hurt. Frankly, I think Lamb is in the same boat. He is what he is and barring a huge season, his draft place will be about the same this year as it will be next year as it will be in 2 years.
