I think it's unfair to question whether he loves basketball or is a hard worker. Nobody on the Boneyard was at practice everyday or knows how he really feels.

Drummond didn't necessarily show a ton of aggressiveness last season, but then again he was an 18 year old freshman trying to carve out his niche on the defending champions. I would have loved to have seen him this year with a more prominent and prominent role on the team.

He has all the measureables I think it's just a matter of getting into the right situation with coaching that will work with him and be patient.

He was. He did.

Yeah, have to agree with you. Hakeem was an incredible athlete for his size. He had almost no experience prior to college, IIRC, and the development he had was remarkable. He had the quickest lateral movement I remember seeing in a guy his size (up to that time). He developed a skilled offensive game and created the sort of triple pivot reverse (or something) that I don't recall anyone else having the quickness to do. He was not at tall as some (about 6'9" at best), but he made Ewing look slow and stiff. Andre will have had a great career if he comes anywhere close to Hakeem in talent and productivity.

Drummond has several years of conditioning left before he's ready to be a star in the NBA.

Makes you wonder how Hakeem became so great over the years. It was more than potential and talent. He should be a role model for many bigs needing development, especially those with a foundation like AD. Great player and using him for comparison almost seems unfair (for Hakeem that is). I agree if he or anyone for that matter comes close to Hakeem then they will have a great career. I am glad I was able to see The Dream play.
