Like that UConn stomped on the Narduzzi story within hours.

Career wise there's very little difference between the two and Diaco coached at a higher pedigree program.

No one can say UConn couldn't reach for the stars or compete with the big boys.

A documented succesful coordinator at ND can put his hat in 95% of college jobs and have his resume get looked at. This is a big time catch.

My guess is the story with Narduzzi isn't 100% as it was leaked and reported by those MSU sites. It's probably close to true, but I would guess there were a few exaggerated details. Either way, this is a solid job from a PR perspective of changing the story from UConn got rejected and took the backup (which Lembo would have very obviously been.) Instead, while the rejection story is still out there, we don't look like we took the backup, and instead for option 1B from another big name school, with recent big time success.

Every headline of every news source, electronic or paper, is UConn hires ND DC. Only a couple of East Lansing papers have anything about Narduzzi staying.
