Dreaded/Welcome 'Vote of Confidence'

In this case, hearing the 'vote of confidence' from Manuel would be dreaded and welcome at the same time. It's almost always a sure sign the coach is getting axed. Here's Pat Haden's from last season:

After a 38-28 loss to UCLA, Haden said he supported Kiffin “150%.”

The problem is if we hear it from Warde now it means he's not going to do anything until the season ends, which is unacceptable.

The vote of confidence would be unwelcomed by my ears. That guarantees that this season will be a winless campaign under the tutelage of PP and GDL. Both need to go RIGHT NOW...not at the end of the season when we will have to go up against the likes of USC, Texas and countless other programs to find our next coach. We need to get a jump on this...even if Warde doesn't officially name a new head coach until after the season, we need our head coach vacancy sign to be shining from here until the end of the season to attract as many potential candidates as possible. I don't want to see what happened last time: an uninspired hire by a clueless AD who had to hire (and pay for) outside help from a "search committee" when he was going to play puppet to a clueless BOT Chair regardless of the committee's outcome.
