Not a fan of hers at all, but I hate when someone gets invited and then has to sit there painfully.
Didn't this happen a couple of years ago, I think maybe Kelly Mazzante?

If I did the math correctly, Connecticut, Duke and Notre Dame account for half the first round.

Was anyone as impressed as I was with Natalie Achonwa's poise and charm? She is very well-spoken -- a credit to her family and her school.

I had the volume off.... but yes I was impressed with Achonwa ;)

I have been keeping track of Tianna's season on Sopron with Kelly. She has played tremendously well.

Whaaa? I missed that! Stef and Bria together? Awesome!

I like the Phoenix pick of Bias. She always played Baylor tough and should be a good fit.

ETT - me too - feel a little uncomfortable on that score, but the player who surprised me the most was Kayla McBride - like Kelly, she has such a game face when playing, and when she was walking up to the stage, I really didn't recognize her at first.
All the women are looking very good tonight!

I like Coach Mike T. He may not have gotten the Sun a title, but they were always in the hunt. He's made some good personnel moved. The Mystics too often selected overrated ACC players. I think Asjha was their only UConn pick and they traded her. They are now building a winning culture. Stef, Bria, and Kara are very nice additions. I can now go to their games and cheer for the home team, though maybe not against Minnesota. That will feel odd. :)

Though I really dislike ND, I'm ok with Achonwa and probably also McBride. I got to see Kayla in person in Nashville and was very impressed with her handle and shot. Possibly the best dribbler I saw this year--very quick and low.

Don't forget one Tiffany Hayes in Atlanta. She's a major contributor for them.

The Connecticut Sun will have some good players and people. They will get to see how the State supports WBB.

I agree with those commenting on players invited but not selected - at least unlike the NFL they are not constantly putting the camera on her.

There's got to be more to Simmons' non-selection than her skill set

Well recall that for a while Washington had a "special advisor."
Yeah, about the time Holdsclaw was drafted. I respected Pat, but I'm not sure how much she helped.

That's two rounds...and still no Simmons. Maybe the Sun take her with this next pick?

But who was the moron who invited her to the shindig? Inexcusable.

Sims and Diggins in the same backcourt......

Some interesting dynamics right there...... I would almost be willing to fly to Tulsa just to see the practices

.-.
Round #2 complete and still no Simmons!

I am sure the LV fans are hot around the collar.
