I couldn't even wait until the final buzzer! Bye Duke!! At least the ride home is not too long .

Duke has now lost five times since 2007 to lower seeds that were at least 5 seeds or lower than them. VCU as an 11 beat them in 2007, WVirginia (7 seed) in 2008 beat them when they were a 2 seed. In 2011 they lost to a 15 and in 2014 they lost to a 14, as a 3 seed. Now, they just lost to a 7 again, just like in 2008. Today South Carolina played lights out in the second half even with some questionable calls in the last 5 minutes, everything was falling for them. I don't think they will have a half like that again any time soon.

Also, it always makes March Madness so much better when Duke goes down before the sweet 16! I think they have more loses to teams seeded 5 or lower than Uconn has (Uconn lost to a 10, 11 and 13, that I know but I think those are it at least in recent memory).

ACC is now a terrible 7-8 with only UNC left to carry the flag after they ESCAPED vs Arkansas.

btw, one of my favorite Duke games ever, (well 3rd behind 77-74 in 1999 and 79-78 in 2004):

And now the Lady Duke team goes down as well, also as a 2, but this time to a 10 seed, the Oregon lady ducks.

Awful 24 hours to be a Duke fan. One of the worst 24 hours for a basketball program (NOT counting tragedies)? Perhaps ranking up there.

These 24 hours are amongst the roughest for a mens/womens ball combo I have seen lately, in other words.
