Did a good job with that CNN interview special thing they had. We can all knock him all day and tommorow about his years here but he didn't blame UConn for his issues and didn't say anything that would get people upset. He could have gone Nate Miles on us and said or leaked stuff for $$. If we can't fill a last open ship by the time August hits and were just going into the season with whatever we have then why not give the kid a call. Give him a last shot at it. He needs what 3 classes to graduate? He can take those 3 and graduate but his "standing" would help our arp right? Not that it matters much becuase the APR stuff will oficially be behind us but still... Not to mention hes another 7ft guy so no matter how bad his game is if he never sees the court, it atleast gives Wolf and Bradley some one to body up and work with. His ship is a one year thing and we can then get a new recruit for the next year. It would also be a way for us to spin the media and make good on something, force CNN and other media to mention the outcome of his saga. Just a thought.

This is in response to Fishys thread.:D

Seventh-year seniors are not eligible for scholarships. He's 38 years old by now.

Thank you for capitalizing.

You are welcome!

Would he really be a 7th year guy? Wow if so lol.

But anyway what if I spun this out there:
Dove hurt our arp at somepoint a couple years ago which contributed to the spot were in now etc... What if Warde goes to the NCAA and says were going to bring the kid back so he can take his last 3 classes and graduate, and as result our ARP numbers from years ago should go from a 0-2 for him to a 1-2 points wise. How ever those point work...Now as result of that our number increases a little bit, nothing special. Like a 840 score to a 860 score(whatever the #'s are..) for that year. But when you then do the averages from past years in order to get into the ncaat next year our numbers now are like a point over the line and were in instead of our average score over years being a couple points under the line? Shouldn't that be something we atleast look at as a possiblity?

I'm not saying this is for sure the case or is at all possible, but it would be stupid of us not to take a look and do the numbers out wouldn't it? I would take him asap if that was at all a possibility and would be mad if we didn't atleast explore it.

unless you plan on handcuffing Dove to his desk, I do not see him being interested in completing those three courses. He may take the free ride to check out how the remodeling is going in Carriage over some bevarages though.

The kid is in a high school gym coaching his sister do layups, I bet he would take one more shot at it. He looked more in shape in that CNN thing then he did while at UConn. Who knows maybe hes sees the court(not the point)... But I bet he would value a college degree at this point and getting some type of job (or D-League shot, hell Majok...) vs. coaching his sisters high school team, wouldn't you in his spot?

With all due respect, you're duck*ing delusional.

First, the NCAA doesn't care what happens to Dove, doesn't care what we do with him and would probably giggle if we proposed rescuing him as some sort of mitigating event in our penalties.

Plus, HE'S NOT duck*ING ELIGIBLE FOR COLLEGE BASKETBALL!

He got to UConn in September, 2006....it is now 2012.

Yeah, we'd be like Pitt if he was on our team at his current age.

Johnathan "Dove" Mandoledove couldnt come back to play here or at any college for that matter. He has recently signed to play professionally for Inmaculada of Peru's Superior League for the 2012 Season And i believe last year he was playing semi pro basketball in Georgia. But like what someone said earlier John came here in the summer of 2006 most of the guys that are on the team now were all in middle school when Dove came here!!!
