Probably more accurate to say encouraged or gave their blessing. Tony checked in with Geno and Chris and both urged Tony to recruit her and said she was a great kid even though it didn't work out at UConn.

Seems like a really great guy. He has an unusual accent - where is he from? I tried looking it up on wiki but it just says he was born in 1965 and went to Seton Hall.

The 2 programs he became head coach for (not including LIU Brooklyn where he was for only 2 years) were horrible at first. Southampton 3-27 in his first year. 20-9 his last year. Iona 1-27 his first year, 20-13 his last year. He was able to completely rebuild those programs from scratch. It will be interesting to see what he's able to do at Seton Hall. Been there 7 years now.

Now back coaching at his alma mater. He's calling for a bubble in February for the big east. Said it should be at Mohegan Sun. Can't argue with that LOL.

Worth a listen. The Big East is lucky to have this guy.

Good listen, especially about scheduling and competitive advantage.

Discussion about Geno at @ the 15 minute mark. AEH at 15:54.

Geno gave him some good tips on recruiting. "Find our something unique about her. Player X changes her nail color before every game mention it." He does and the kid was impressed that he noticed. Kind of a cool insight into Geno's worldview both as to recruiting and to helping other coaches.

Love that he has no filter. Very much like Geno in that regard.

Lots of Geno's Italian buddies, though Harry is now retired.

Strong advocate of the bubble. Only way possible it seems.

“It’s just been a really difficult challenge,” Seton Hall coach Tony Bozzella said on the latest Hearst Connecticut Media podcast. “Everyone’s going to say it’s too late, we can’t do a bubble, but a bubble, in 10 days you could play five games, even six. You’re not traveling, you’re all there, you’re getting good rest, you’re not on planes and buses.
