Junior guard Caroline Doty was held out of practice today after suffering a mild concussion during Wednesday’s 92-31 win over Towson. According to a team spokesman, she was not exhibiting any concussion-like symptoms today and was present at Gampel Pavilion during practice.

Doty, who is averaging 5.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 18.0 minutes this season, is expected to fully participate in practice by Sunday. She is also expected to play when No. 2 UConn hosts No. 4 Texas A&M in the Jimmy V Classic Tuesday at the XL Center.

Good news. Her presence and decision-making against a pressing
team could prove to be critical. It's one of those things that may not show up in a boxscore, but if she is able to help UConn break A&M's press, it could easily be the difference between a win and a loss.
