The Sox will get swept by the Tigers in a four game series starting tonight. Buchholtz is not pitching, Lester has been terrible and Bailey, our closer, has been getting pounded lately.
On a positive note, things are interesting down on the farm. The Pawsox are loaded with prospects and are leading their division. They have Jackie Bradley and Xander Bogaerts in the line-up and a passel of good relievers. They also moved Garin Cecchini up to AA Portland. If Middlebrooks continues to struggle, he could be the future at the hot corner although he is probably at least a year away.
