Central Connecticut announced Wednesday men’s basketball coach Donyell Marshall will rejoin the team Nov. 27 following what will amount to a seven-game absence.
The school said in a statement Wednesday that “the personnel situation that led to Coach Marshall’s seven-game absence has been resolved.”
Marshall’s first game back will be Nov. 30 when the Blue Devils (0-3) host North Carolina A&T meaning he will miss the next four games against East Carolina, Cleveland State, Brown and Coppin State.
There was no mention of assistant coach Anthony Anderson or his status in the statement.
He and Marshall were placed on leave on Nov. 2 hours before the Blue Devils’ exhibition game against Nyack.
McLaughlin said “there’s no further information,” declining to elaborate further on the situation or whether the absence is being considered as discipline.
