All of these Syracuse threads are making me nauseous. Yes, I know UConn and Syracuse have a symbiotic relationship, or at least that's what I'm told, but it's time to let them eat their sloosh and be proud.
In case anyone forgot, Pitt is in the CBI championship, which is a best out of 3 game series. Their opponent is Washington State, who won the first game last night.

Pitt's back is against the wall. They need to take the next two games to win the championship.

Won't you miss Pitt just a little bit?

What I wonder about Pitt is whether their aggressive defenses, constant hand checks and moving pics will be tolerated in the ACC. Jamie Dixon may have to make big adjustments in their style of play.

Yeah, but the championship is decided by a best of 3 series!
that's crazy, there's nothing else in all of college basketball that is more than a one game situation.

That is one question. The other is whether Dixon needs an entirely different recruiting strategy because the Metro New York kids that he's been living off of want to stay in the Big East and not play in the ACC.

No! Why should we care?

Pitt will be less successful recruiting NYC if they aren't in the BE and playing a conference championship somewhere on Tobacco Road. They'll become as ignominious as BC

bc west

In many ways. Their offense is similar with the motion, high post, screen for the screener and pound it in mentality. BC had Dudley, Williams, Marshall etc during the move and that was how they played. Defensively, BC would get up in your face, grab, push, etc, just like Pitt has been known to do. BC actually had a few good seasons at first in the ACC, when they had a couple of future NBA-ers on their roster. Does Pitt have that?
