Donovan Clingan invited to NBA Top 100 Camp

Is it me or does he make the hoop look like it's 8 feet tall or so!!!

Love that little jab step to set up the 3!!! He's going to be very, very good before it's said and done here!

Camp is from July 25th-31st.

Clingan question: Can/do high school players participate in Hartford/central CT pro/am summer league games?

There are a few summer leagues for high school teams. He could also play in the pro-am if he likes...really anything he wants. In college he has to get permission

Noticed the same thing. Wondering when they planned on raising the hoop to regulation height.

HW611 this it! This is what you are waiting for along with the rest of us. DC should not disappoint.

Hearing some rumors this might get canceled fwiw... which is not a lot.

Covid is getting pretty bad at Peach Jam.

An incidental observation from re-watching some Hunter Dickenson tape. At Dematha Hunter played against better teams with better post players, but had other top 50 stars like Timberlake on his team. His high quality teammates made it tough to double team Hunter and he had freedom of movement developing his game. Donovan has played against low competition, but he has had to deal with being swarmed by opposing teams with the need to protect the ball from 6 to 8 arms and hands at all times. His game against bigs might be less advanced or proven, but he has developed as a passer from the pressure, and has learned to keep the ball high. He has AAU and Camp exposure to other bigs, but it is a different developmental path. A key for his freshman year will be not picking up cheap fouls that put him on the bench.

It’ll almost be more interesting to see him matched up against the top 6’8” to 6’10” guys (and their quickness and athleticism) as opposed to the 7-footers, since he’ll so rarely see them or anyone close to his size
