Why not take UL and UConn then? Bring it to 15.5 for football and 16 for all else? Makes everyone happy. UL brings some new market and football. UConn brings a bit more NYC and academics + strong women's and men's basketball comes with both.
The NYC college market is a fallacy...a golden goose at best. Womens basketball, as popular as it is here, is going along for whatever ride football and (to a much lesser extent) Men's basketball take it.
