Just yesterday I was scrolling through the channels and saw a brief clip on "Dumbest Stuff On Wheels" that captures the football program perfectly, IMO.

It showed some doofus in a high-rise pickup truck try to drive through a trough filled with mud. Of course, he gets stuck and just starts spinning his wheels. And just keeps spinning.

Then suddenly, something blows and the whole thing is covered in smoke. Then a few seconds later, there's another pop and the entire truck explodes into flames.

I think we're at the smoke part, currently.

This could be good news. Without a top 10 defense we go 2-10 next year. PP is fired and we lure DB back to UConn as HC.

Everyone is so negative. Yes Brown is VG but there are other Dc out there. Hopefully we keep the recruits that gave us a verbal. Currently we are having one of our best recruiting years ever even though the hits keep on coming. Everything on this board is doomsday.

This latest departure is 110% on Warde. Anyone "in the know" can tell you that as long as PP is HC, he will never detach himself from GDL. The fact that he even gave PP the freedom to decide what to do (after consecutive 5-7 seasons) going forward is quite frankly mindboggling.

I can't even begin to tell you the dark f#$king cloud that seems to be following our program since the night of the Fiesta Bowl. It is like a weekly, non-stop punch in the face. Conference stuff, coaching stuff, player stuff, losing stuff.....just wow.

On a related note, I posted it on another thread but I'm wondering what people think about us going after Spaziani for DC? I think he's a really good DC, even if he was a train-wreck of a head coach. Could be a solid, and perhaps ironic, option for us to go to right now...

This is kind of on Edsall, but gotta cut Edsall some slack. He should have left before the Fiesta Bowl but what happened, has happened. He did bring us a long way and help us get great wins during his tenure. PP will be gone after next year. Less than 365 days left.

WM THAT FAT DONUT EATING PIECE OF ••••. HE HAS DONE CLOSE TO NOTHING FOR US SINCE HE'S GOTTEN HERE. THE 1 AND ONLY REASON I ENJOYED UCONN FOOTBALL WAS OUR OUTSTANDING DEFENSE.
