Does this team REALLY have it all?

Can someone tell me where this idea that Stefanie is a three-point shooter comes from? I've seen it here several times recently, but according to the stats on the UConn site, she's only taken three in her career and missed them all. I'm a bit lost on this count.

Watch her in practice or warm ups, as well as, how far to the top of the key she hits 2s. It is often less than a step back to a three. Players and CD, also, referred to it at some point as well.

If Chris said so, I'll take her as a reliable source. I hadn't heard that part before.

I saw her hit some in warmup for IUP on Friday.

Some here think she has that capability. Probably does, but she will only take a few the entire season.
It doesn't matter how good a 3 pt shooter Stef is, she probably won't be taking many. Fans and coaches have expectations, and 6'5" centers taking 3s isn't one of them. Geno would be considered loony for allowing it. He could lose his reputation as a coach.

If you read the book Moneyball, (It's about baseball, but the principles apply to BB too), coaches often do what is expected by tradition to avoid being criticized. Statistical studies prove that certain common actions are detrimental. For instance, bunts are rarely the best play, and in football it would be better to go for it on 4th & 2 instead of punting. But if coaches took the better option, their jobs would be in jeopardy because of everyone's expectations. It's the safe way to go.
