A refresher from 99 as if anyone of us needed a reminder.

Now this play from Saturday night the Parham blitz shocking Mensah.

I couldn't find a better video.

What I mean by this is having that feeling of defeat on your face knowing you are cooked. Mensah having the ball stolen from Parham reminded me of Langdon falling on his face when Moore came over to trap him. Duke was shell shocked and didn't know what hit them Saturday night was a glorious seeing Mensah's head in the grass much like seeing Langdon on the floor. Of course pure jubilation for our husky's, pure guts and this was no upset btw. Ripping Dukes heart out is glorious sure this doesn't compare to 99 and 04 but was still amazing to see this.

What trip? He fell over himself.

I did however see some poetic symmetry in if you started with the 77-74 final score from the 99 national title game then removed 40 points from each school per the scoring nature of each sport you end up with 37-34.

I know the Langdon fall (fixed it btw)

Context matters. One is a national championship game, one is a single regular season game.

Ya I brought that up in my post. That feeling of a guy who caught in a trap and knows he's cooked, just the end of game moment is what I meant, yes I get it's a regular season game but still a huge moment. The feeling in person is indescribable.

Big difference. What both share is those games are pivotal points in their respective programs.

My intellectual side knows the difference. But when both those plays happened at their respective end of games there was no difference in the degree of elation I had.

Not sure if we need to compare. The football team is worthy of starting their own legacy.

Still takes time, but the ship is on a different course that's for sure, all the pieces are coming together.

Y'all, not to be a wet blanket but we beat a 6-4 ACC team and are comparing it possibly the biggest moment in basketball program history? What are we doing?

I'll only add that if you were at Pratt, you just love the UCONN feeling. Brock and our boys were going after Mensah all day, and given the team's continuing momentum and outstanding persistence - yeah it was a big f$#$ play.

1. The two plays looked similar.
2. The schools are the same.
3. Given where the football team has been, this is huge.
4. Don't be that guy
Exactly my thread title clearly says in it "the play" not the game, and I already stated it doesn't compare to 99 or 04, reading comprehension is hard for some on this board. Mensah like Langdon is in panic mode under duress and off balanced caught in a trap.
