The game was too physical in the first half. Walz said he wanted to turn the game in to a street fight (or whatever words he chose) and the officials cooperated, particularly in the first half. It was ridiculous what was happening to Griner.

She should have seen yesterday's first half when 17 minutes into the first half a total of 2 fouls had been called and the half finished with 5 for both teams.

Kim made a good point about the game getting out of hand and personal between the players (taunting by Schimmel and then Sims). I think the double T was called because the ref realized that they missed not T'ing up Shoni earlier. Strange.

But while Kim may have reason to complain about the charging call, the call on Slaughter during the scramble for the ball was also a questionable call. I do not expect to see that officiating team any more in this tournament.
