Ray Allen scored 54 in an overtime game back in 2007 when he was with the SuperSonics. He was 8-12 from 3, and hit 12-12 free throws. He also had 10 rebounds and 5 assists in the game. It's the most points a UConn player has ever scored in the NBA.

Here's the game's box score.

Looking into the subject a little more, here are the top 20 scoring games by former UConn players in NBA history.

T-4) Ben Gordon: 48 points, Box Score (3/4/07)

Overall, there have been 29 games of 40+ points scored by UConn alumni. Ray leads the way with 13 such games, and the only one not listed in the top 20 was Caron, who scored 40 in 2008.

And if anyone was curious, Kevin Ollie's career high is 19. He did it in 2006 as a member of the 76ers (Box Score).

I had a friend ask me this question and I had no idea
Do you mean in a game or a career? JFuchs gave you the game stats. Career? That seems kind of obvious - Ray.

I looked at KO's box score. He played 38 minutes with 0 turnovers, love it.

thank you! This is exactly what I looking for!

Ray had 1o rbs and 5 assists in that game. Thats getting it done!

Wow...I would not have guessed that Charlie would be top 5.

If you added playoffs, Ray had 51 with the Celtics, 45 with the Sonics, and 41 with the Bucks.

9-11 on field goals too. Took smart shots and didn't turn the ball over. No wonder he was able to last in the NBA for 13 years.

It is Ray, but I think he only passed Cliff Robinson in the last year or two.

Kemba will be on that list soon

He already has a number of 30+ point performances. He'll have a few games in his career where he'll be hot from outside and he'll break the 40 point barrier.

Drummond might have a few 40+ point performances himself given that he's 20, just scratching the surface of his potential and already has a 31 point game (on 15 shots). For him, it'd probably be in a game where the other team is doing "Slay-A-Dre"/"Bang the Drumm", and he's hitting his free throws. Okay, maybe that last part is a little far-fetched...

I also wouldn't be shocked (though I would be a little surprised) if Lamb was able to break 40 at some point in his career where he was on fire with his shot. He's a natural scorer and has plenty of time to refine his game. This won't happen if he's in OKC with Durant/Westbrook, but I can absolutely see Lamb being a 20/game scorer at some point in his career, and just having a game or two where he goes off.

Espn recap for that game starts off ' the best game of his career couldn't save a lousy day for Charlie Villanueva' and has a quote about him lamenting the uconn loss

He would have been a Junior. He left after the 2005 season as a sophomore.

But great post!

Ahh, you're right. He got here in 2003, but it was the 2004 season. And thanks. It was fun to look all those up.

not the most points but I know that Donyell Marshall has the most 3's in a game

He actually might not anymore now that all certain teams do is shoot 3's but I know he had the record for a long time

Donyell and Kobe share the record with 12 3-pointers made in a single game. 12-19 from 3 on the game.

Ray currently 22nd all time at 23995.
Cliff at 42 with 19,591.
Ray passed Cliff in the 08-09 season.

3/26/06 was the worst day, regardless of CV dropping 48. We shall not speak of George Mason or that day.
