man this is really an 8 seed team? Just an average team in a normal year. No stars, no greatness at all.

And on top of it playing crapola teams so far

No, I see a very good team out there without their best player that stifled Wisconsin into hurling up 3s all game just to stay in it.

I know it's sacrilege for some to give Cuse credit on this board, but face it - they're legit.

They have a lot of talent. Hate them as our biggest rival, but can't take away they are very good.

I see a team that finds a way to win at winning time much to my chagrin. Reminds me of a couple vintage uconn squads.

elite eights arent acheived with average players having normal years. i mean they are one of the top 8 teams (for now, i think they can beat osu). but then again, the story of cuse this year has been the oppoaite of uconn: whatever causes it, there is something about cuse that causes them to be worth more than the sum of their parts. they play very, very well as a team. oh and by the way; they earned the easy route of playing poor teams the first few rounds by earnin their 1 seed.

Syracuse's D after Wisconsin took the lead under the 10 minute was stifling. That zone extended to almost 1/2 court and the ball pressure was tremendous.

Syracuse is a very good team. Don't think I'd call them great, but I certainly don't mistake them for a #8 seed while watching.

Ah, yes...the requisite and by now predictable; "I'm Tampa Bill, & I have a massive hard-on for Syracuse" post.
Dude, your obsession borders on the pathological.
Don't really know what type of Cuse-related post-traumatic stress disorder you're suffering from, but its obvious something's not quite "right" w/ you.
Anyway, keep it coming- your negative karma is a good luck charm!

You've harped on the "no stars, no NBA players" thing for awhile now. First of all, it doesn't matter, this is college basketball. Duke won a championship two years ago with Scheyer, Singler, and Nolan Smith as their best players. And second of all, if you don't think Dion Waiters is ridiculously good at basketball, you don't know anything about basketball.

I see a team led by some pretty good upperclassmen guards

Very good team, can really extend the zone and Waiters will be very successful at the next level. I love to watch them play. The program is riddled with scandal and will sink like a rock by the time they join the ACC.

Cuse is the best big east team I've seen since 2008-2009.

They are also a top 2-3 team this year.

They are led by seniors who know whow to play-throw in Waiters, who looks like he's the best player on the court almost every game, and Fair, and they are really, really good.

When I watch Syracuse I inevitably think: How stoned and desperate must these people be, that tagging Laurie Fine is considered a rite of passage, and someone like Juli Boeheim marries a guy 20+ years her senior like, well, Jim Boeheim?

Old, fat, ugly women need loving too. Though I would hope Cuse BB players could do better. Seriously, was Laurie Fine ever attractive? Was this like a rite of passage? Who started that sick tradition? At least you would think they would try to bag Boeheim's wife. I can't imagine what kind of drugs I would have to be on to even consider doing anything with Laurie Fine.
